BCCI chief Rahul Johri has hinted at the possibility of the currently-suspended IPL 2020 after the rains in India. He said on Wednesday that the matches will resume with Indian and international cricket players.
But for IPL 2020 to happen at the said time, the ICC T20 World Cup in Australia – which is held from October to November – needs to be postponed. Media reports suggest that the BCCI may consider the September to November period to host the major sporting event.
IPL 2020 was slated to take place on March 29 this year. But with the coronavirus outbreak world over, the BCCI announced that the 2020 season will be suspended until further notice, early in April.
