Hindustan Unilever has renamed its products - Horlicks and Boost - as ‘functional nutritional drinks’, instead of the previous category of 'health food drinks'.

As per a statement released during the company earnings call, the company said: "We have changed the labels of the category to FND which is a much better way to call it."

The Ministry of Commerce and Industry recently asked e-commerce companies to delist all drinks and beverages like Cadbury Bournvita as "health drinks" from their respective platforms.

The statutory body had earlier urged the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) to initiate action against companies that do not meet safety standards and guidelines, and market their products as "health drinks".
