HUL, Madison Media, O&M, Radio City win big at Golden Mikes 2015
HUL wins 'Radio Advertiser of the Year', Madison Media wins 'Radio Media Agency of the Year', O&M wins 'Radio Advertising Agency of the Year' and Radio City leads among radio stations at exchange4media Golden Mikes 2015
exchange4media’s Golden Mikes 2015 awards were given away at a glittering ceremony held at the ITC Grand Central, Mumbai. The latest edition of the premier awards for the radio sector saw a total of 62 awards being handed out, which included 13 Gold, 19 Silver and 30 Bronze metals, celebrating some of the best radio work of the year 2014.
Some of the Gold winners included ‘Cadbury Celebrations – Le Chalon Khushiyan’; Gujarat Tourism ; Radio City – City First Loyalty Program; Marico – ‘Lice Negative to Life Positive’; ‘Aasha’ – Radio Mantra; “Hud Hud Cyclone Communicator” – Udaya FM (Red FM); Radio ki Pehli Picture (HUL-Clinic Plus) – Mindshare; “Saridon Presents Slappies 2014”- Madison Media Sigma and Mirchi STD Call - Radio Mirchi.
The innovative way the winning entries had used the medium of radio; which does not allow for any visual aids was well-liked by the jury members.
Tourism Board of Gujarat, which had won the Radio Advertiser of the Year award last year found itself in the metal tally once again. However, this time the crown for ‘Best Radio Advertiser’ was usurped by Hindustan Unilever, which won two Gold, one Silver and three Bronze metals. Among the radio stations too, last year’s winner Big FM’s winning spree was ended by Radio City, which won the most points of any radio station.
On the creative side, Ogilvy & Mather was once again the winner of ‘Radio Advertising Agency of the Year’ with 53 points (2G, 3S, 6B), while Madison Media was adjudged ‘Radio Media Agency of the Year’ with 66 points (4G, 4S, 2B).
