BARC India to release data with TG as 2+ from week 17
The TV rating body said that this change will allow for more direct comparison between genres and align with common measurement best practices
The Broadcast Audience Research Council (BARC) India has decided to release data with TG as 2+ on the website from coming week i.e week 17.
The rating body said that over the years they have been getting requests to display data for different TGs cuts on the website.
The statement read, “We have evaluated all the requests and to maintain uniformity across, it has been decided that from (coming week) Week 17, BARC India will release data on website and mobile with TG as 2+ for all genres and market as All India for English, Lifestyle and Infotainment genres.”
It further added, “This change will allow for more direct comparison between genres and aligns with common measurement best practices.”
The current TG for mentioned genres were All India (U+R): NCCS AB: Males 22+ Individuals which will be now All India (U+R): NCCS ALL: 2+ Individuals
