Arc Outdoor media has recently bagged the advertising rights of 431 BUS Queue Shelters (BQS) in Delhi for 10 years. Spread over three zones, the BQS will cater to the OOH advertising areas of East, North and South Delhi.

The contract has been given by the Department of Transport, Government of National Capital Territory. The contract will cover the advertising rights and maintenance of these BQS.

Commenting on the acquisition, Rajeev Agarwal, CEO, Arc Outdoor media said, “This is a great and significant addition to our inventory of OOH media properties. We have won this contract for a period of 10 years. As we go forward with this project, we intend to bring in and implement the best practices prevalent globally in order to add value for all the stakeholders”.

Explaining further, “Outdoor as a medium has always been one of the most impactful and cost-effective ways to reach out to the target audience. It is also the only medium apart from digital that allows narrowcasting and specific audience targeting. Digital technology has added power to OOH as a medium, as more and more media owners are using digital technology to enhance the impact derived from various media formats”.

More importantly, the term “Outdoor” is redundant in today’s media scenario. With an ever-increasing number of people spending more and more time out of their homes for travel, work, leisure etc. OOH as a medium is rapidly enhancing its stature as a key component of every advertiser's media mix, added Rajeev.

The firm also acquired the media rights of Indore Airport in October, last year. As per the mandate, it is entitled to design, develop, operate and market the advertising opportunities at the airport for a period of 10 years.
