Karen Ngui will step down as Head of Group Strategic Marketing & Communications at DBS Bank, marking the end of a more than two-decade-long journey with the bank. Ngui announced the decision in a LinkedIn post, describing the move as a “meaningful transition” that she approaches with gratitude and pride.
Ngui said she will shift her focus fully to championing impact beyond banking through the DBS Foundation and the bank’s People of Purpose initiatives. She said her next chapter, which she described as a “re-wirement” phase, will see her devote her full energy to the DBS Foundation. Ngui, who joined DBS in June 2005, was a key contributor to the foundation’s formation in 2014.
Ngui brings more than 25 years of experience in corporate branding, marketing and communications within the financial services sector. Before joining DBS, she served as Global Head of Brand Management & Strategic Marketing at Standard Chartered Bank for nearly six years.
