Rohinton Bajirao Maloo is no more

All our prayers went in vain when news reached us last night about the sad demise of Rohinton Maloo, a personal friend and a friend of the industry, in an act of mindless terrorist violence that has had Mumbai under its grip since November 26. Terror couldn’t have struck closer to our hearts. Anurag Batra, MD and Editor-in-Chief, exchange4media, pays tribute to this great human being, thinker and visionary.

Mumbai Siege: MIB summons news media owners; objection on coverage

The Indian news broadcasting media faced some heat from the police and the Government on November 28 over the coverage of the terror attacks in Mumbai. The police had issued a notification to cable operators to plug out the news channels, which was subsequently cancelled by the Government. Later in the day, however, the I&B Ministry called upon the news media owners to express concern on the extent of the coverage that, according to the Ministry, had caused harm to the police operations against the terrorists.

Mohit Rampal

Spice Group has appointed Mohit Rampal as Chief Sales Officer (CSO) of Cellebrum. Rampal will look after the sales of Cellebrum Technologies Ltd. He had earlier worked with organisations like Avaya Global Connect, SafeNet India (previously known as Rainbow Information Technologies). Rampal brings with him 17 years’ experience in IT networking, IT security and the telecommunications domain. He had also been instrumental in creating a brand for the USB token iKey, which is used for storing digital certificates. He possesses experience and knowledge in the financial and commercial aspects of developing new businesses; and running the sales, marketing, product branding, project management, product development and network operations.
