STAR and CJ Home Shopping, a leading Korea-based regional home shopping group, have announced a 50:50 joint venture to launch and operate a home shopping network across India. The first stage of the partnership will be the launch of the STAR-CJ home shopping channel, which is slated for the second half of 2009.

IPG’s Mediabrands is set to bring its digital brand, Reprise, to India. IPG’s Lodestar Universal has been working with Interactive Avenues for some time now, but it is understood that the two are in the process of forming a 50:50 JV that would recognise both Reprise and Interactive Avenues brand names. Sources close to the development informed that the JV would be in place in a month or two.
