Cannes Lions 2024: 15 more shortlists for India from 6 agencies in 6 categories

Campaigns by Ogilvy, VML, Dentsu Creative, McCann Worldgroup and Early Man Films have been shortlisted

Fifteen Indian campaigns made by six agencies found a place in the shortlists for six categories of Cannes Lions 2024 that were announced on Saturday. The 71st edition of the Cannes Lion Festival of Creativity is scheduled to be held between June 17 and 21.  

The agencies that found their campaigns among the newly shortlisted ones included Ogilvy, VML, Dentsu Creative, McCann Worldgroup and Early Man Films. A total of 26,753 entries were submitted into the campaign under 31 categories. 

Six categories whose shortlisted campaigns were announced on Saturday.

In the radio and audio category, the shortlisted Indian campaigns were Ogilvy’s Taj Mahal Megh Santoor campaign for Brooke Bond and Dentsu Creative’s Deep Connect campaign for Motorola.

In the Outdoor category, Ogilvy's Brooke Bond Taj Mahal Megh Santoor campaign got shortlisted in two categories.  

In the Print & Publishing category, four of VML’s films for Times of India were shortlisted in one category each. These were the Seal Alarm, Turtle Alarm, Seabird Alarm and #Unplastic India campaigns. 

The Film craft category whose shortlist was also announced on Saturday had Indian adman Piyush Pandey as the jury chair. In this category, Early Man Films’ campaign for Jindal Steel and Power titled The Steel of India was shortlisted in two subcategories. 

In the health and wellness category, McCann Worldgroup’s Fit My Feet campaign for Buckaroo Footwear got through to three shortlists while Ogilvy's The Impossible Choice for St Jude India Childcare Centres got through to one shortlist.  

Another category whose shortlisted campaigns were announced on Saturday was Pharma. No Indian entries were shortlisted in this category. 

India also bagged three shortlists in Glass Lions category on June 4.
