The much-awaited Dunki reviews are in and the verdict seems mixed. The Shah Rukh Khan starrer still managed to earn Rs 58 crore worldwide at the box office in the first two days. With Rajkumar Hirani as the director and actors like Shah Rukh Khan, Taapsee Pannu, Vicky Kaushal, and Boman Irani, one could easily have high expectations from the film.
The film gives the audience a hearty laugh while delivering a meaningful message about the irrational greed that Indians possess for moving abroad. In a mildly humorous way, the film shows how the allures of a better life abroad can get one stuck in a lifelong mess. All in all, Dunki is a one-time good entertainer.
Even though most of the film was set up in a tier III city called Laltu and did not allow space for many brand integrations, the audience could still spot a few glaring brand integrations throughout the Shah Rukh Khan film. Here are a few we spotted in Dunki:
Astral Pipes

This was the most conspicuous brand integration in the first few scenes itself when SRK’s entry is shown in a race.
Qatar Airways

Throughout the film, air travels between London, Punjab and other countries is shown via Qatar Airways. In a scene or two, the audience can see the hospitality and interiors of the airline as well.
BKT Tires

If a Punjab-focused film does not show tractors, then it would be borderline offensive for a typical Bollywood entertainer. All tractors shown in the film had BKT Tires’ branding on the tractors.
Ray-Ban

SRK’s first step in Laltu in a flashback is a close-up shot of his face from the younger days as a ‘fauji’ with the classic black and gold rim Ray Bans. He is also seen sporting the iconic shades in other scenes of the film.
Vespa

Pannu aka Manu in the film is seen in multiple scenes loading her friends onto her blue Vespa. Even though the branding of the scooter does not really catch the eye, one can still easily know it is the old and famous Vespa.
Coca Cola

In one scene at the very famous Piccadilly Circus in London, Pannu is seen posing in front of a larger-than-life board of Coca-Cola. One cannot miss noticing the brand here for obvious reasons.
Aramex
Aramex has been shown as the courier brand in London for the four friends. The product placement in the film for Aramex was less but definitely not ignorable.
GMC Cars
In the scenes where Saudi Arabia is shown, GMC cars are used in most of the scenes.
Apple iPhone
The Arabic guy, Bakir, who assists the four in Dunki is shown using an attractive red iPhone which can’t be missed by viewers.
Toyota
The policemen of Saudi Arabia are shown in Toyotas in a car chase scene.
Apollo Tyres
In a brief scene, Pannu’s foot shots highlight the Apollo Tyres of their car.
