Shailesh Gupta, Director-Marketing, Jagran Prakashan was elected Chairman of ABC (Audit Bureau of Circulations) for the year 2012-2013. Syed Mahmood Ahmad, Executive Vice President – Marketing of ITC Limited was unanimously elected as the Deputy Chairman of the Bureau for the year 2012-2013.
The other members on the Bureau’s Council of Management for the year 2012-2013, from the publishers’ side included M Venkatesh - Hindustan Media Ventures, Amit Mathew - Malayala Manorama, Aritra Sarkar - ABP, I Venkat - Ushodaya Enterprises, Hormusji N Cama - The Bombay Samachar, Devendra V Darda - Lokmat Media and Sanjeev Vohra - Bennett, Coleman & Co.
The advertisers’ representatives are Ravi Pisharody - Tata Motors, Debabrata Mukherjee - Coca Cola India and Anil Dua - Hero MotoCorp.
The advertising agencies’ representatives are Shashi Sinha - Lodestar UM who is elected the Hony. Secretary, Madhukar Kamath – DDB Mudra Communications is the Hony. Treasurer, Vikram Sakhuja - GroupM, Srinivasan K Swamy - RK Swamy BBDO as Secreteriat and Hormuzd Masani as Secretary General.
