BARC Week 30: Zee Anmol leads Hindi GEC after more than a year

According to BARC data for week 30 (July 22–28), Zee Anmol led collectively and in rural market in Hindi GEC category. Meanwhile, Star Plus continued to dominate the urban market

According to BARC data for week 30 (July 22–28), Zee Anmol overtook Star Plus, the long-standing leader in Hindi GEC category, to lead collectively with 691 million impressions.


It was closely followed by Zee TV with 657 million impressions and Star Plus with 599 million impressions.


Star Plus and Zee Anmol continued to dominate the urban and rural market with 406 million impressions and 538 million impressions.



Urban Market


Star Plus maintained its hold over the urban market with an improved 406 million impressions, compared to 435 million impressions it had in Week 29.


Colors moved up to second spot with 406 million impressions as against its 345 million impressions it fetched in 29


Zee TV slipped to third spot with 397 million impressions as against the 380 million impressions it garnered the previous week.


Sony Entertainment Television retained its fourth position with 283 million impressions as against previous week’s 288 million impressions.


Sony SAB retained its fifth spot with 276 million impressions as against the 284 million impressions it fetched the previous week.



Rural Market


Zee Anmol continued to lead rural market with 538 million impressions.


Rishtey maintained its second spot with 437 million impressions.


Sony Pal held on its third spot with 372 million impressions.


Zee TV held on to its fourth spot with 260 million impressions.


Star Utsav also retained its fifth spot with improved 218 million impressions.
