Goodknight and Godrej protekt encouraged parents to spend time with their children this Children’s Day. Goodknight’s campaign is titled #ChildrensPlayDay and Godrej protekt’s campaign is called #SayNoToNo. Both the brands have taken an initiative to partner with parents help their children cherish their childhood. Goodknight campaign focuses on providing children a mosquito free environment where they can make real friends and enjoy spending time outdoor. Whereas, #SayNoToNo focuses on the idea that children need to be given freedom to foster creativity and learning, through this campaign parents are encouraged to say ‘Yes’ to their children without a fear of the unknown.

Goodknight video on #ChildrensPlayDay highlights the fact that children spend a great amount of time watching TV and other gadgets. The purpose of the film is to get parents to introspect if these are the only friends they want their children to grow up with. To enable parents to spend time with their children, a special Fun-On-Wheels van went around Mumbai this weekend where parents and children engaged in outdoor activities like rope walls, trampoline, etc. A contest was carried out as a built up to the Fun-On-Wheels van activation, the participants had to use Goodknight Roll-on’s Facebook profile filter to show their promise to spend an hour with their child.

Celebrity parents including Raveena Tandon, Tisca Chopra, Shweta Kawatra, Ashita Dhawan and Sharad Kelkar posted about how they were going to make time to take their children outdoors on Children’s Day on their social media platforms.

Godrej protekt’s campaign is all about parents letting children be themselves, thus helping foster creativity and learning. Parents often have a tough time letting go in a sense of protectiveness and a fear of the unknown which more often than not results in constantly having to tell their child No. Through this campaign parents were encouraged to share videos about saying ‘Yes’ to everything their child asks for using the hashtag #SayNoToNo. The campaign began with a series of adorable home videos by popular television stars Daljeet Kaur, Shubhangi Atre, Amrita Raichand and Barkha Sengupta, documenting what happened when they said yes to their children for a whole day.

Speaking about Children’s Day campaigns, Sunil Kataria, Business Head, India & SAARC, Godrej Consumer Products, said, “Children have a lot of fun being themselves, they need this freedom to foster creativity and learning. Both our Children’s Day campaigns are very close to us as we have a wide range of products that cater to children. The thought behind both the campaigns – Goodknight’s #ChildrensPlayDay and Godrej protekt’s #SayNoToNo is give children of today a joyful time and encourage parents to spend time with them without worrying about the unknown.”

Over a year ago, Goodknight forayed into outdoor and personal repellent category and has been actively involved in campaigns to encourage children to go out and play without the fear of mosquitoes. With #ChildrensPlayDay, Goodknight is striving to address other difficulties faced by parents while sending their kids out to play. On the other hand, Godrej protekt’s range of hand hygiene products is known for its cheerful and refreshing personality. In a category driven by fear psychosis, Godrej protekt has managed to carve a niche positioning for itself.
