FanCode has renewed its broadcast partnership with Formula 1 through a new three-year agreement. Building on the successful two-year partnership, the extended deal positions FanCode as the home of Formula 1 in India until the end of the 2028 season, offering fans an enhanced and more immersive viewing experience.
As part of the expanded scope of the partnership, fans will now be able to subscribe to F1 TV Pro and F1 TV Premium directly via FanCode, enabling seamless access to the sport’s most comprehensive content library. This will allow viewers to follow Formula 1 exactly the way they prefer, with unparalleled depth and flexibility.
Under the renewed agreement, FanCode will continue to deliver coverage of all race weekends each season, including every practice, qualifying, and race sessions (including Sprints).
To enable further access, FanCode also introduced regional commentary in Tamil and Hindi; a dedicated motorsports podcast called Gearbox with some of India’s top creators; and worked with F1 communities to curate special fan screenings. Fans can expect more product-centric innovations that will enhance their viewing experience.
Formula 1 has witnessed remarkable growth in India over the last few years, particularly among Gen Z and female audiences. According to Nielsen, the country now boasts 79 million F1 fans and has experienced a 41% surge in fandom since 2022 , making it one of the fastest-growing sports in the nation. The recently released F1 Film starring Brad Pitt was also the highest-grossing Hollywood film in the country.
The platform will also hold broadcast rights across Bangladesh, Nepal, and Sri Lanka, cementing FanCode’s position as the home of Formula 1 in the Indian subcontinent. F1 TV Pro and F1 TV Premium will still be sold directly by Formula 1 in these markets.
The upcoming season, beginning March 5 in Melbourne, promises significant excitement with the debut of the Cadillac F1 team, expanding the grid to 22 cars. Additionally, Audi will complete its takeover of the Sauber F1 team. With new regulations, including lighter cars, sustainable fuels, and the introduction of active aerodynamics, the sport is set to enter one of its most dynamic and transformative eras yet. Arvid Lindbladt, a driver of Indian heritage, will be on the grid, having signed up with Racing Bulls for the season.
Talking about the deal, FanCode co-founder Yannick Colaco said, “We are delighted to renew our partnership with Formula 1 for three more years.
