Sunil Nair, CEO, Nautanki.tv Networks, explained that with Times Now available on the widgets at places where the Internet audience already existed would mean greater dissemination of news to a wired generation leading to the birth of a new exciting opportunity for advertisers who wished to target this audience with their TVCs.
Sandeep Sharma, Senior VP - Marketing & Sales, Times Now, observed, “In the next few years, the Internet, on the back of better infrastructure, VOD, IPTV and Mobile TV, will all be a reality as emerging mediums will mushroom and their consumption will be fuelled by the youth of the country. The viewer will be able to choose what he wants to see and when he wants to see it. So, he will choose the content and the time to view the content. This initiative with Nautanki.tv is a step in this direction and is part of our overall digital online strategy of the brand.”
With Times Now coming on board, Nautanki.tv Network’s offering is expected to be well rounded with all aspects of video content from India being covered. Twenty per cent of Nautanki.tv’s publishers are bloggers who cover serious topics ranging from news, analysis, finance, etc. Times Now will make it possible for them to serve relevant video content for their readers. The publishers of the Nautanki.tv Widget can select the kind of content they want to feature on their web pages using features like iNautanki.
