Ambani Wedding: Kim Kardashian’s SKIMS to Haldiram’s, brands that stole spotlight
Brands homegrown and global that gained significant media attention during the grand nuptials and related festivities
The grand Ambani Wedding is finally upon us after the never-ending spells of pre-nuptial festivities. The bride and groom Radhika Merchant and Anant Ambani will enter holy matrimony with the crème de la crème of the global elite bearing witness.
The larger-than-life wedding–amounting to a few thousand crores—may not even nick the Ambani net worth if reports are to be believed. With Asia’s richest family set to make the wedding a spectacle for the history books, it’s easy to see why so many eyes will be glued to it.
Unsurprisingly, the grand Ambani nuptials and related festivities have also served as a springboard for various brands – homegrown and global; established and fledgling.
Let’s take a walk through some of the brands that enjoyed significant media attention during the Ambani wedding.
Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla

Despite having the biggest global names in designer wear at their disposal, the Ambanis have opted for the classical Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla (AJSK) for their couture. There could be a business reason behind the sartorial choice as Reliance Brands Limited picked up a majority stake in AJSK back in 2022. The internet believes that this could be a reason why the Ambanis eschewed wedding favourite designer label, Sabyasachi Couture. Rival Aditya Birla owns a 51% stake after infusing Rs 398 crore into the label.
Banarasi sari

Making a grand show at the wedding will be India’s own Banarasi sari, which has acquired the prestigious Geographical Indication tag. Nita Ambani, who has been seen a variety of Banarasi silks over the years, opted for a Manish Malhotra sari for the pre-wedding rituals. This is tied to the concerted efforts by the Ambani family to put Banarasi sari on the roadmap by giving it the spotlight it deserves. Sari traders and exporters believe that the wedding will give global exposure to the Banarasi sari and a filip to the silk artisans of the country.

Club One Air
The Ambani wedding guests from across the country will be transported to the venue in style in a 100 special jets. The company in charge of the charter flights is Club One Air whose CEO Rajan Mehra said that the aircraft will make multiple trips across the country to transport the guests.
