Kotak General Insurance bags 3 metals at Indian Marketing Awards 2023
The brand won 2 golds and 1 silver metals across categories for their impressive work
The exchange4media Group hosted the 10th edition of the Indian Marketing Awards (IMA) on February 2 at Taj Santacruz, Mumbai. The awards recognised the great work done by brands, agencies and individuals in curating impressive marketing campaigns. The awards night celebrated and honoured several brands and agencies whose exemplary work has left a lasting impact on the advertising and marketing industry.
At the IMA, Kotak General Insurance bagged three metals including 2 golds and 1 silver metals. The brand won 2 golds for its ‘Kotak Meter - The World’s First Insurance with Cashback’ campaign under two categories- ‘Category Creation’ and ‘Brand Extension’. Through the campaign, Kotak General Insurance wanted to make insurance a high-involvement category and that is how Kotak Meter was born, the world’s first car Insurance with cash back.
The main objective of the campaign was to increase car insurance penetration in India by addressing the prevalent perception that 'insurance is non-essential and costly' especially in the context of reduced car usage due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the consequent lockdown. The Kotak Meter app saw 12 average logins to app per month with 7.9 average bonus days, 36% users sharing their carbon footprint savings, and 37 minutes average time being spent per month on the app.
The Indian Marketing Awards honour organizations, individuals, and teams that have attained remarkable accomplishments through innovative marketing strategies. This year, the IMA 2023 jury was chaired by CK Venkataraman, Managing Director, Titan Company. The other jury members included industry leaders, seasoned professionals, and renowned personalities from the industry.
