Congratulations on your win at the e4m PR & Corp Comm Women Achievers Awards 2023. How do you feel?
Absolutely thrilled to be honored with the prestigious title of Emerging Women Entrepreneur of the Year by exchange4media! It symbolizes not only my dedication and hard work, but also the tremendous potential that women bring to the world of business. I am deeply grateful for this acknowledgment and look forward to continuing to make a positive impact in the entrepreneurial landscape. Having been honored with this award is no longer just a personal achievement, but a tribute to the collective strength and ingenuity of my team and other women entrepreneurs.
What inspires you on your journey and endeavours?
My entrepreneurial endeavors are motivated by creativity, which enables me to think outside the box and come up with innovative solutions to challenges. This imaginative approach not only fuels my passion but also enables me to envision new opportunities and ventures that others might overlook.
My sense of purpose is also strengthened by seeing tangible benefits of my work for individuals, communities, or entire industries. It instills in me a drive to continually strive for excellence, knowing that my efforts are contributing positively to the world around me. Moreover, the journey of continuous learning is an essential aspect of my entrepreneurial journey. Embracing opportunities to acquire new skills, gain insights from experiences, and expand my knowledge base fuels my curiosity and keeps me motivated to evolve both personally and professionally. This commitment to learning ensures that I am equipped to navigate the ever-changing landscape of entrepreneurship and seize new opportunities for growth and innovation.
In what ways have you witnessed the PR and corporate communications industry change and evolve over the years? What global practices would you see implemented in India?
Over the years, the PR and corporate communications industry has undergone significant transformations driven by technological advancements, shifting media landscapes, and changing consumer behaviors. There's a growing emphasis on content marketing as part of PR and communications strategies. Utilizing data analytics and insights is becoming increasingly important in PR and communications.
Tell us about your most valuable learning from the industry. Where do you foresee the PR and comms industry in the coming days?
One of the most important lessons I've learned from the PR and communications industries is the value of adaptation and agility when navigating quickly changing landscapes. The industry's dynamic nature always brings new difficulties and opportunities, necessitating practitioners to remain informed, agile, and aggressive in their approach. Furthermore, I've been constantly amazed by the enthusiasm and originality of young professionals entering the field. Their excitement and innovative thinking provide new insights and generate positive change, accelerating industry growth and adaption to new trends and technology
In the coming days, the public relations and communications sector will prioritise digital engagement, data-driven strategies, and real storytelling in order to effectively interact with different audiences in quickly changing digital landscapes. Furthermore, there will be a stronger emphasis on transparency.
What would be your message to the future generation of professionals?
My message to the future generation of professionals is to stay true to your values, prioritize integrity and authenticity in everything you do, and never underestimate the power of collaboration and building meaningful relationships. Remember that success is not always linear, and setbacks are opportunities for valuable learning and growth.
