MAX shines with 6 metals at Promax | BDA North America Awards 2008

MAX has bagged the highest number of metals – six – at the Promax | BDA North America Promotion & Marketing Awards 2008, which was held on June 16-19 in New York. NDTV Imagine and INX followed with four and three metals, respectively. The other winners included Neo Sports, Sahara Filmy, Multiscreen Media, Sahara One, SAB, MTV India, Channel [v] and Vh1 India.

MAX has bagged the highest number of metals – six – at the Promax | BDA North America Promotion & Marketing Awards 2008, which was held on June 16-19 in New York. NDTV Imagine and INX followed with four and three metals, respectively. The other winners included Neo Sports, Sahara Filmy, Multiscreen Media, Sahara One, SAB, MTV India, Channel [v] and Vh1 India.

MAX bagged two gold for its two campaigns – ‘Come, play’ in the category of Holiday / Seasonal / Special Event Program Campaign – Multiple category, and Cricket is back’ in the Holiday / Special Event Campaign using Integrated Media – Multiple category.

MAX also won one Silver and three Bronzes for the same campaigns.

NDTV Imagine bagged one Gold, one Silver, and two Bronzes.

9X, the Hindi GEC from INX Media, bagged two Golds and three Silvers. The launch of 9X won the Gold Promax | BDA Design Award for Best Collaborative Effort, while the ‘Angoota’ Marketing Video / Presentation won the Gold and Silver Award in Internal and External category, respectively. ‘9 times more drama’ won the Silver Promax Award in Daypart / Block of Program category, while Mission Ustaad – ‘Jago India’ won the Silver Promax | BDA design award in the Music Video or Short Subject category.

In a release issued, Anthony Pettifer, Group Director, Brand & Communications, INX Network, said, “As a channel which is just seven months old, it is great news that we have already won nine Promax Awards. We place great importance on creativity as well as ensuring brand consistency across all our communications. I would like to congratulate our in-house On-air Promotion Department, the INX Studio, our Brand Communications team, and our agency, Meridian.”

Sahara One, SAB, and Vh1 have all won an award each. Sahara One has bagged a Gold for ‘Biggest Loser Jeetenga’ in the World Gold Print section. SAB bagged a Silver for ‘Left Right left’ in the Program Promotional Spot – Out of house (single) category. Vh1 bagged a Bronze each for Virgin Comics and Sunday Brunch promos.

Sony Entertainment Television won a Bronze for its promo for ‘Kuch Is Tara’ for Dramatic Program Campaign Using Integrated Media (multiple) category.

Channel [v] bagged a Gold for the promo of ‘Do Bheega Zameen’ in Best Work Never Seen category.

‘Kaun Banega Champu’ and ‘Meri Bhains Ko Anda Kyun Mara’ fetched Gold and Silver, respectively, for its promos by Hindi movie channel Filmy. Both the metals were in the Comedy Program Spot category.
