Noise topples boAt with witty rebuttal: 'Eliminating unwanted disturbances'

Noise has hit back with a clever iteration of boAt's original ad, urging the latter to "think"

Not long after wearable brand boAt released a veiled attack against rival Noise (and Apple), the latter has paid back boAt in the same coin.

For the uninitiated, boAt recently released an ad campaign targetting rival Noise and taking on global giant Apple, hinting that its products are superior. While the ad was lauded for its gumption, the brand faced backlash from Apple fans and others who questioned boAt's claims of being a homegrown brand. 

While Apple is unlikely to react to boAt, Noise has with a clever iteration of boAt's original ad. Noise has released a digital ad stating, "Maybe you should think," implying that the former should have anticipated the backlash that followed.

boAt originally released a print ad with an apple on one side and its earphones on the other. In the centre, reads the caption: "Think Different Better"

Now Noise has spun the same ad around, also striking the word "Better" along with "Different," leaving only "Think" behind. "Think Different Better. Maybe you should think," read the caption.

boAt has been accused of punching above its weight by putting itself in the same league as Apple products, which has a rather loyal fanbase all over the world. While some have criticised the company, others have lauded it as a smart move since Apple won't engage in an ad banter with boAt, which in turn has the country's attention with the ad campaign. 

Tanmay Bhatt and co are behind boAt's ambitious campaign. The ad is directed by Rahul Bharti and produced by Sun City Studios. The campaign is part of boAt's broader "Be a boAthead" campaign for the IPL.
