Global leaders meet at Ipsos
Ipsos held its first global conference in India after acquiring Synovate in 2011. The conference was attended by Global CEOs of 86 countries
Ipsos recently held its ‘Best of Ipsos’ client conference in Delhi and Mumbai, following Ipsos Global Conference in New Delhi, where CEOs/ MDs from 86 countries and the top leadership team were present for the first time in India to plan strategy for 2013. This was reportedly the first big global conference for Ipsos after it acquired Synovate in 2011.
Mick Gordon, CEO, Ipsos in India said, “This conference was organised for our esteemed clients in Delhi and Mumbai. Ipsos recognises the value India brings in and hence, it’s our priority market. The conference helped our clients to understand the kind of growth opportunities India provides.” Gordon further said, “It was a great opportunity for us to show our clients that we have grown stronger after acquiring Synovate. This first big conference gave our clients a chance to meet with the merged entity which was reassuring for them.”
The ‘Best of Ipsos’ conference was held on January 30, 2013 in Delhi and on February 1, 2013 in Mumbai. The theme of the conference was ‘Discover Growth With Ipsos’. Top global Ipsos leadership team and expert researchers/ analysts in the fields of innovation, loyalty, media, marketing, advertising, reputation management, public affairs, healthcare, and business consultancy were present at the conference.
The presenters made clients understand Ipsos’ globally proven market research tools in a better way. Various topics were covered in the conference, such as “How to make your ad work harder”, “Managing reputation in times of crisis”, and “Whether digital is killing the media”, to name a few. Clients from various sectors such as FMCG, consumer durables, automotive and banking were present at the conference to interact with their peers.
Ipsos is now also getting into Opinion Polling in India, which will be led by Darrell J Bricker, CEO, Ipsos Public Affairs. With a team of highly experienced and qualified professionals who have worked on opinion polling in several markets of the world, the methodology for India will be slightly different from the rest of world due to its diverse nature.
