Intex Technologies (India) Ltd, an IT hardware, mobile phone and electronics company, has appointed BEI Confluence as its creative partner following a multi-agency pitch. BEI Confluence will handle all business segments of Intex Technologies – computer peripherals, mobile phones, PC, consumer electronics, etc., spread across 26 product groups and more than 300 SKUs.

In the last fiscal, Intex had aggressively focused on integrated marketing activities and to support its growth plans for this FY, the new creative agency will revamp the entire branding and communication strategy for all business verticals, including the relatively new Intex mobile phones. The recent appointment of Hanmer MS&L Communications as the public relations agency is also in line with the revamp plans.

Announcing the appointment, Ramesh A Vaswani, Executive Vice-Chairman, Intex Technologies, said, “To help us achieve our aggressive growth plan for the new FY, we thought it may be a good idea to bring in a new creative agency. Brand Intex has a good recall, thanks to a large base of loyal consumers and committed channel partners. The marketing team is now keen to take Intex to the next level by reaching out to a wider consumer base.”

“We liked the innovative thinking, creative ideas and research based planning presented to us by BEI Confluence and now look forward to a valuable contribution from their side to enhance our brand equity and communicate effectively all the intrinsic values and attributes of our products,” he added.

Confirming the development, Tapas Gupta, MD, BEI Confluence, said, “It’s a matter of great satisfaction that based on our key strategic insights and creative excellence we won the prestigious Intex brand. They are a leading player in the computer peripherals category and have significant presence in technology and IT-led sectors and our key focus would be to make Intex a preferred brand in all the categories they are present in.”
