Kajal Malik is joining Sakal Media Group as Head of its Brand Solutions Cell. She moves from LMG, where she was heading the planning business of ITC Foods.

Speaking on the creation of the new Brand Solutions cell, LS Krishnan, Business Head, Sakal, elaborated, “Sakal Media Group, with its depth and width of media platforms coupled with its understanding of consumers in Maharashtra, is in a unique position to deliver customised solutions to brands. We have unique platforms to tap various TG, be it kids, women or youth to the other end of rural spectrum with ‘Agrowon’ (agricultural daily). We feel the potential has been hitherto under utilised by brands and, therefore, the decision to set up the ‘Brand Solutions Cell’, which would clearly understand the brand task and then create media opportunities from within the Sakal Media Group offering and at times beyond.”

Kajal Malik added here, “Today’s fragmented market is driving most advertisers to find customised solutions to connect best with their consumers. This drive serves as an exciting opportunity to create brand window beyond the obvious. Malik has 18 years’ experience, which includes strategic planning, media buying, involvement with brand and media researches spanning across varied categories like FMCGs (with ITC, Nestle, Dabur, Hamdard), consumer durables, automobiles, telecom and so on.

Sakal has been a pioneer in commercial events. It conducts more than 300 events in a year across genres and geographies. It also has clubs for women (Madhurangan) and kids (Young Buzz).
