Starting May 5, 2009, Mudra Group has announced that all the 12 specialist units would fold into the Mudra Max umbrella, heralding a new age for Mudra Max as an integrated communications planning and implementation agency.
In early 2008, Mudra had aggregated its media offering under the Mudra Max name. The Reliance ADAG business and other media AORs were brought under two media agencies – Radar and Connext, respectively.
Commenting on this major shift, Madhukar Kamath said, “Mudra Max will now be the leading agency in India to drive integrated communications planning and implementation. Max offers not just ideation capabilities and a media-neutral point of view, but a proven capability to execute as well. Our impressive showing at the Media Abby’s this year, where we came a joint 3rd, is a sign of things to come.”
Pratap Bose, CEO, Mudra Max, asserted, “CPRPs don’t necessarily generate sales – Mudra MAX does. For too long, media agencies have been talking about communications planning, but nobody practices it in the true sense of the word. We will now enter the age of consent (influence ahead of engagement) across the media spectrum and we have through-the-line capabilities to execute that seamlessly.”
Mudra Max works with more than 50 key national clients for their media and through-the-line requirements. With this single move, Mudra Max claims to have become one of the largest full service media agencies in the country in terms of billings and revenues. In terms of scale, too, Mudra Max now has 425 employees spread across 35 offices in India and has an on ground delivery mechanism that can activate a brand in more than 125 cities and 150,000 villages.
