Yashraj Mukhate revisits the 'Rasoda' with Kokila Modi to launch Scrub Daddy

Instagram influencer and composer Yashraj Mukhate who shot to fame with his "Rasode main kaun tha?" video has teamed up with Kokila Modi, the subject of his original viral song, to launch Cif's Scrub Daddy.

The video shows Yashraj Mukhate scrubbing dishes. On the television nearby, Kokila Modi, played by Rupal Patel in the show Saath Nibhana Saathiya, calls out to him.
A startled Mukhate is reprimanded by Modi, who steps out of the television screen to school him about using dish washing sponges. She recommends Sif's Scrub Daddy to him, after which the two break out into a song-dance routine.

The video has come as a surprise for many who appreciated the creative thinking behind the video.

"Hats off to the creative team that wrote this. So powerful and such instant recall value!" said one user.

"Yashraj making his content with his content," said another.

Even Tanmay Bhat commented on the video, writing, "Legend."

Last week, Ranveer Singh and Johnny Sins starred in a viral video, spoofing Hindi teleserials to promote Bold Care products. 

Mukhate went viral a few years ago for putting his unique musical spin on the infamous scene between Kokila her bahu Gopi and Rashi about the culprit in the "rasoda" who mounted an empty pressure cooker on the stove.

The video became a viral sensation, spoofed and renacted by celebrities and netizens alike.

Scrub Daddy is another viral sensation, a dishwashing scrub that looks like a smiley face. The product has a huge fan following on TikTok mainly for its texture-changing ability. The product goes soft when immersed in hot water and hard when it comes in contact with cold water.

Scrub Daddy has also enjoyed Shark Tank success, raking in highest revenue of any product pitched on the show.

Scrub Daddy sales have consistently doubled year-on-year and crossed the $670 million mark. Its products are available in more than 20 markets worldwide.
Unilever's Cif entered into a partnership with the brand in 2023, launching a line of co-branded products worldwide.
