ZEEL all set to launch second English movie channel under ‘&’ family

The SD and HD channel, &flix, will go live across all major DTH and digital cable platforms on June 3 at 1 pm with the premiere of Spider-Man: Homecoming.

Zee Entertainment Enterprises Limited (ZEEL) is all set to take a leap forth in the English entertainment category with the launch of a new movie channel -- &flix.

The SD and HD channel will go live across all major DTH and digital cable platforms on June 3 at 1 pm with the premiere of Spider-Man: Homecoming.

ZEEL claims that the new channel will be the most popular destination for latest Hollywood movies, with one hit premiere every week for an entire year along with an exceptional library of films across genres. The channel has tied up with studios such as Sony, Paramount Pictures and Disney and has a library of more than 400 movies and 52 hit premieres. ZEEL has also roped in five brand partners so far-- Fiama, LLoyd, 100 Pipers, Amazon Fire stick and Domino’s Pizza.

According to ZEEL, it is good to be in the English viewing category as it covers 52 million households. Of the total viewership, 60 per cent comes from big cities while the rest 40 per cent from others. This 60 per cent segment has been growing at the 35 per cent CAGR in the past three years, claims the channel.

&flix has planned a disruptive 360-degree marketing plan engaging audiences through numerous touchpoints. The channel leveraged a Twitter integrated outdoor innovation to unveil the channel’s first communication, where viewers tweeted using the channel hashtag, to reach 10,000 tweets and garnering more than 52 million impressions in just 24 hours.
