The Advertising Agencies Association of India (AAAI), organisers of GoaFest 2007 are promising a much bigger and grander fest this year round. The festival, to be held on April 20th and 21st 2007, has already started making waves nationally and internationally with its viral campaign receiving accolades from the national and international biggies in the advertising fraternity. This year, along with recognising excellence in Creativity, Media Awards have also been constituted.

Promising a memorable experience for all advertising professionals of India to meet and celebrate great advertising work at this year's event, Srinivasan K Swamy, President, AAAI, said, "This year's GoaFest will be at the same scale as an international fest with exhibitions, high-end seminars and awards for two consecutive days along with fun and frolic in the beaches of Goa."

"It's not just an awards show; it is much more than that, with all the exhibitions and seminars revolving around it. Moreover, this year we will see delegates from all over the country, and not just the big cities," added Arvind Sharma, Chairman of the AAAI GoaFest Committee.

The TVCs of GoaFest is already a rage on the Internet with the videos being distributed and viewed by thousands of advertising professional already. Sharma observed that "through the casual spread of these virals, many international advertising professionals have already begun asking for an invitation to this year's festival."

Speaking about the idea behind these videos, Leo Burnett's KB Vinod said, "We wanted to create maximum impact through the campaign for this fest. As GoaFest celebrates 'ideas', we made the obvious connection of lighting bulbs. But the tough part was to present them in a refreshingly different manner which, I think, has been achieved."

The videos have already been broadcast on various GEC as well news channels over the past few days. Organisers are also planning to come out with print campaigns and web campaigns for the event very soon, on the same creative lines.
