Cannes Lions 2024: 8 more shortlists for India, tally reaches 54
Four shortlists for Leo Burnett, three for Ogilvy and one for Brand David
On day 2 of the ongoing Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity 2024, eight more Indian campaigns were shortlisted on Tuesday. These included four shortlists for Leo Burnett, three for Ogilvy and one for Brand David. With this the total number of Indian campaigns that made it to the shortlists stand at 54.
The categories for which the shortlists were announced on Tuesday included Creative Business Transformation, Creative Commerce, Creative Effectiveness, Creative Strategy, Film and Luxury & Lifestyle. So far, the shortlists for 23 of the 31 categories have been released.
In the Creative Effectiveness category, three of Leo Burnett’s campaigns are still in the fray for awards. Two of them were for Oreo’s #BringBack2011 which was shortlisted in consumer goods and single market subcategories. Their campaign for Airtel titled The Airtel 175 Replayed was shortlisted in the consumer services/B2B subcategory.
In the Creative Strategy category, both Leo Burnett earned one shortlist. Ogilvy Mumbai had three of their campaigns in the shortlist, for two of which they had collaborated with their global counterparts. Leo Burnett’s Feel The Music campaign for Spotify was shortlisted in the media/entertainment subcategory. Ogilvy’s work for Vodafone Idea, titled Human Network Testing Network was shortlisted in the market disruption subcategory.
Cadbury Dairy Milk’s There’s A Glass and a Half in Everyone which was shortlisted under the multi-market strategy and long term strategy subcategories listed VCCP, London, Ogilvy Kuala Lumpur, Ogilvy Johannesburg, Ogilvy Mumbai and Ogilvy Singapore as the joint creators.
Brand David Communications’ work for Colgate titled The Sweet Truth was shortlisted in the film category under the social behaviour and cultural insight subcategory.
None of the Indian campaigns were shortlisted in the Creative Business Transformation, Creative Commerce and Luxury & Lifestyle categories.
