Online advertising firm Affinity has launched their business operations in India after having already been active in North America and Western Europe. Affinity specialises in contextual marketing solutions that help enhance the avenues of online advertising and monetisation.
The company launched in India last week. Karan Gupta has been named MD of Affinity India. He has previously worked with Digital Law & Kenneth, where he has handled clients like Skoda, Renault, ITC, Aircel, ICICI Bank and JP Morgan.
On his new role, Gupta said, “Affinity’s ‘fresher approach’ is aimed at giving newer methodologies to enhance what advertisers/ publishers set out to do – advertise and/ or monetise in the Indian online space. Our overall efforts are driven towards finding that one ‘sweet spot’ in between that allows for brands and web properties to co-exist and maximise their profits from their interactions with each other.”
He added, “Affinity will provide advertisers with means to effectively boost their existing digital marketing strategies that encompass a myriad of marketing objectives – ‘Brand to Performance’, using contextual ad units that give their brand added visibility within contextually relevant spheres. Publishers, on the other hand, will be able to traverse the spectrum of ‘Monetization to Retention’ using revenue models and innovative ad units that increase user-interactivity while monetising web inventory; thereby enhancing their overall page value.”
John Lee, CEO, Affinity, said, “The backbone of Affinity has always been its ‘fresher approach to contextual advertising’; and that will stay true of Affinity India as well.”
