Mid-Day has joined hands with Australian beer maker Fosters for the Season 2 of Fosters’ Presents Mid-Day Happy Hours @ Work Contest. Over the next two months or so, 30 winners stand to win rocking parties with thumping music, sizzling starters and Fosters at their offices.

According to an official statement, this recently launched contest is being heavily promoted by the afternooner among media houses, agencies and corporate houses. The promotional text simply requires contestants to send an SMS to a number and if luck smiles on them, then the Fosters’ and Mid-Day fun brigade would gatecrash their offices and guarantee a rollicking party.

Speaking on the initiative, Manajit Ghoshal, CEO, Mid-Day Infomedia Ltd, said, “Mid-Day Happy Hours@Work is a hugely successful marketing property that engages readers, strongly establishes Mid-Day’s positioning of ‘Make Work Fun’ and also creates engagement amongst our target audience of young working professionals.”

Neville Bastawala, Head - Marketing, Mid-Day Infomedia, added here, “At Mid-Day we have made it our goal to effectively engage the highly coveted, but elusive audience of urban professionals. Unique and innovative properties such as Fosters’ Presents Mid-Day Happy Hours @ Work Contest help drive home Mid-Day’s position of taking a Mid-Day break and Making Work Fun. During the last Season, we had these parties at the offices of Onida, ICICI Prudential, Zapak, Mudra, Madison Communications, Ogilvy & Mather, and OMS, to name a few.”

Jude Fernandes, CEO, Mudra Communications, one of the offices to win last year, said, “It’s a great idea from Mid-Day, and we are delighted that Mudra was the winner. Especially with the year-end holiday’s coming up, it really gets everyone in a celebratory mood. It’s also excellent for office morale.”

According to Mid-Day, parties would be in offices on an agreed day from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm in the winners’ office premises. The contest will run over the next six months with three to four parties being up for grabs each month in offices in Mumbai and Pune.
