At the function, Dr. Bedi spoke about the need for building and creating trust not only in regular brands and services but in other spheres of life as well.
Rajat Sethi, Executive Director, Reader’s Digest India, explained that the winners were chosen strictly on the basis of independent surveys conducted by Nielsen International to determine the true preference of consumers. Survey respondents had rated each brand on six core qualities: trustworthiness and credibility, quality, value, understanding of customer needs, innovation and social responsibility. The Trusted Brand survey has been conducted annually in India since the past four years and all over Asia since 1999.
