Leverage digital but with a human touch: Deepak Sahni, Healthians

Leveraging digital while building brands and running campaigns is important but one should not forget the human touch, said Healthians Co-Founder and CEO Deepak Sahni at the Pitch CMO Summit held in New Delhi on Wednesday.

In his keynote session during the Summit, Sahni shared the journey of Healthians, a diagnostics company founded in 2014, which evolved its purpose over the years from making money to preventing people from landing in hospitals and encouraging healthy living.

“With the advent of cloud computing, artificial intelligence, Chat GPT and all the world is changing much faster. So, we kept evolving and innovating. We are the first ones in India to have Smart Reports which ensure you don’t have to go to Google after you get your report. It talks about all possible diagnoses based on the results in your report,” he said.

Speaking at the conference, the theme of which is ‘Reimagining Purpose in a Tech-Enabled World’, Sahni said, “The app talks about disease trends in a specific city the user is using the application in. We have the largest amount of data. Example, if you’re in Gurgaon, your screen will say 73 % people in your age group have this disease. So, you know what is the current issue in your current city. It is seasonal, it changes from city-to-city, weather. You will be fully updated about the situation.”

He stressed the need to leverage digital but with a human touch.

“We cannot hide behind flashy interfaces and complicated algorithms because everyone can build. We all should leverage digital but we should not forget human touch. Without human touch, technology is just numbers, Ones and Zeros.

“To all marketeers, I would like you to take a pledge to not remove the human touch from an insane tech world while building ad campaigns. We are making brands for India that loves its traditions as much as trends. India that runs on Chai, Cricket and Code,” Sahni said.

Talking about the services offered by Healthians, Sahni said it maps people who approach it with symptoms and tests.

“If you come with symptoms, I can tell you what tests the doctor will prescribe you. If you have tests, I’ll ask you about the symptoms so that we can map that and tell you. We have done the upgrades over time.

“The purpose was to add 10 healthy years to every Indian’s life. In this fast-changing world, we must further evolve our purpose. Healthcare is no more about minimizing illness but about nurturing health, improving life and holistic wellness. People want to get healthier every day,” he said.
