AAI invites bids for baggage trolleys in Bhuj Airport
The Airports Authority of India (AAI) has invited bids from reputed firms under the 'two packet system' offering advertisement rights on 149 passenger baggage trolleys, along with their retrieval and maintenance, at the new airport terminal building of Bhuj Airport. The contract shall be awarded for three years and shall attract a minimum reserved license fee of Rs. 134.43 plus service tax per trolley per month. The EMD required is of Rs. 12,018.

As per the eligibility criteria specified, interested parties should have a minimum experience of two years in advertisement display business or trolley management services at transportation centres such as airports, seaports, railways as whole, bus terminals including bus shelters etc.
Hoteliers, airlines including foreign airlines, business and industrial houses, courier agencies, shopping malls with their establishment not less than two years shall also be eligible for the contract.
All participating firms should be having an annual turnover of not less than Rs. 5 lakh from the business for which experience has been claimed.
Interested parties should quote the license fee offered for the first year only. From the second year onwards, the license fee shall be escalated by 10 per cent over the previous year's fee.
While the contract shall be awarded for 149 trolleys, the authority will reserve the right to increase or decrease the number of trolleys as required during the period of contract. However, in case additional trolleys are added, the fee for these shall be paid by the licensee on a pro-rata basis.
As per tender notice, a single party, either a firm or an individual shall be able to purchase only one tender document. A proprietor of more than one company or firm shall be considered as single party and one legal entity.
Tender documents indicating full details of the license can be obtained on payment of Rs. 260 from the office of the airport-in-charge, Airports Authority of India, Civil Aerodrome, Bhuj-Kachchh – 370 001 on any working day up to October 07, 2010.
Duly completed tender documents should be enclosed in a sealed master envelope super scribed, ‘Tender for maintenance/retrieval and display of advertisement on passenger baggage trolley contract at Bhuj airport’ should reach the specified address on or before 3 pm on October 14, 2010. This master envelope shall be having two envelopes marked as ‘A’ and ‘B’ containing technical and financial bids respectively.
The technical bid shall be opened at 3.30pm on October 14, 2010.
