Congratulations on your win at the e4m PR & Corp Comm Women Achievers Awards 2023. How do you feel?
Winning the e4m PR & Corp Comm Women Achievers Awards 2023 fills me with pride and gratitude. It is a big achievement for me and I'm excited to keep working hard and hope to inspire other women in the field. This recognition motivates me to continue striving for excellence and reminds me of the importance of dedication in pursuing my passion. I am grateful for the support of my peers and mentors who have helped me along the way, and I look forward to contributing even more to the industry in the future.
What inspires you on your journey and endeavours?
I find inspiration in the art of storytelling and the impact it has on connecting people. Communicating effectively allows for deeper understanding and meaningful connections and the ability to shape opinions and lead positive change through communication motivates me every day. I believe in the power of words to bridge gaps and create empathy. In a world where communication is key, I strive to make a difference by fostering genuine connections and sharing stories that resonate with others.
In what ways have you witnessed the PR and corporate communications industry change and evolve over the years? What global practices would you see implemented in India?
Over time, the PR and corporate communications industry has undergone significant changes, particularly with the rise of digital technology. We are now using digital platforms everywhere and learning from global practices to improve our strategies. Techniques like data-driven decision-making and personalized communication are becoming increasingly important. By adopting these practices in India, we can improve the effectiveness of our PR efforts and better engage with diverse audiences.
Tell us about your most valuable learning from the industry. Where do you foresee the PR and comms industry in the coming days?
In my experience, adaptability and continuous learning have been crucial lessons in the PR industry. Being able to navigate through changes and stay relevant in a dynamic landscape is key to success. Looking ahead, I expect further evolution in PR and communications, driven by advancements in technology and changes in societal norms. Strategic storytelling and data-driven insights will remain fundamental aspects of effective communication. As the industry continues to evolve, professionals must be proactive in embracing new trends and leveraging innovative approaches to achieve their goals.
What would be your message to the future generation of professionals?
It is important to embrace change and have a curious mind. The field of PR is dynamic and offers many opportunities for growth and innovation. It is crucial to develop a diverse skill set and remain adaptable. Above all, integrity and authenticity is necessary as success in PR is not measured only by achievements but by the positive impact you make through your work. Stay true to your values and work to create meaningful change in the world.
