WPP bags Intel's global creative account
In what is said to be the industry’s biggest creative win in the last few years, other WPP agencies will also be harnessed to support Intel’s global creatives, across all of the tech giant’s verticals
A bulk of Intel’s $1.4 billion global creative account has been awarded to WPP’s brand experience agency VMLY&R, according to media reports.
The account has been awarded to the agency after a six-month review.
In what is said to be the industry’s biggest creative win in the last few years, other WPP agencies will also be harnessed to support Intel’s global creatives, across all of the tech giant’s verticals.
Reports also suggest that Intel would be working with its other agency partners, while WPP and its agencies will look after its global portfolio.
Incumbent agency Dentsu’s mcgarrybowen, hired in 2014, will continue to handle Intel’s global social efforts.
According to COMvergence reports, Intel’s global spends is $68 million and domestic spends is $6.4 million on annual measured media. However, media reports suggest that Intel set aside $1.4 billion on global marketing in 2019, and is expected to further increase its AdEx in 2020.
