Loksatta has launched yet another reader engagement programme – ‘Khel Saap Sheedi Cha’ – giving a new twist on the traditional game of ‘Snakes & Ladders’. The new game follows the same rules as Snakes & Ladders with the added incentive of winning grand prizes every week. The game gives Loksatta readers in Mumbai and Pune the chance to win diamond pendants from D’damas and more than 5,000 other prizes, including Benetton wallets and shades, travel bags, travel irons and I-ball headsets among others.

The game cards were distributed with Loksatta in Mumbai and Pune on Sunday, April 4 and at various locations within Mumbai and Pune between April 4 and April 7. Each game card comes with a preset Snakes & Ladders arrangement and a unique six-digit serial number. Each day, a condition will be published in Loksatta using the unique serial number (USN), based on which players will move on the game card. Winners will be announced on a weekly basis for six weeks from April 8 to May 19.

Commenting on the initiative, Pavita Puri, Group Brand Head, The Indian Express Group, said, “Loksatta enjoys a very loyal relationship with its readers. Loksatta Khel SaapSheedi Cha is simply another opportunity for us to connect and engage with them, and also attract new readers into the family.”

The promotion has been launched with a high decibel promotional campaign involving print, outdoor, radio and BTL activities.
