A 2023 campaign video of Puma is creating a controversy of sorts on the internet. The video is a case study for Puma’s World Cup 2023, #PUMADive.

It all began when a communications consultant shared the case study video of Puma’s campaign for World Cup 2023, '#PUMADive' on his LinkedIn profile. The user, Karthik Srinivasan Srinivasan, claimed that soon after he posted the video, he received a call from Puma asking him to delete the video as it was a case study meant for company’s internal discussion and not for public viewing. Srinivasan claims that Puma asked him to delete the video even though the same video was shared by Anna Tomasetti, Creative Community Manager APACMEA at Publicis Groupe, on her personal LinkedIn account on March 5. In fact, according to Srinivasan, the video posted by Tomasetti had gone viral with more than 3,000 reactions.

Sources in Leo Burnett, meanwhile, have told e4m that the video was not posted by any of Leo Burnett’s official accounts, but was shared by Tomasetti on her personal account. Tomasetti too has now removed the video from her account.

e4m reached out to Puma for its side of the story, but the comany refused to comemnt.
