Changes are inevitable and can have both good and bad impact. Sometimes, they create chaos if one fails to adapt, and oftentimes they fuel the industry’s success if leveraged on time. As we all know, PR & Corp Comm is a dynamic industry that continuously evolves with the people or clients, introducing new trends, and strategies, and demanding innovation at every step. Presently, it is going through a major transformation with the introduction of new technologies, communications tools, and strategies. Every day starts and ends with a new trend and to come up with the innovative solutions, it’s vital to address each trend thoroughly. In this respect, e4m is thrilled to announce a groundbreaking series: PR and Corp Comm PR Dialogue The Great Debate.’

‘The Great Debate’ will be an on-going event where all the inspiring and leading figures will come together to do a no-holds-barred discussion on the most critical issues of the industry. This will be the very first edition of the PR and Corp Comm PR Dialogue ‘The Great Debate’ and the three hot-button topics of its first edition event will be:

  • Does the PR Industry need overhaul in the advent of AI?

We are living in an era where technology is taking precedence over conventional PR & Corp Comm methods. The industry has taken a seismic shift from press releases, TV, and radio to AI, social media, and trends like influencer marketing. The shift has proven to be beneficial in some ways but has reshaped communications strategies, leading to changes in roles. Furthermore, it has blurred the line between marketing and public relations which is causing a huge problem in creating meaningful and lasting relationships with the audience. In e4m ‘The Great Debate’, industry leaders will discuss whether the PR and Corp Comm industry will undergo a complete overhaul or whether the conventional methods will be enough to set new standards of success in the industry.

  • Do journalists and PR professionals need to introspect on respecting each other's boundaries?

Journalism and Public Relations have always been two sides of the communications coin. However, the relationship between Journalists and PR professionals has always been a delicate matter. Following this, strained relationships between both parties affect the quality of work. Discussion about what beats to cover, when is the best time to reach each other, and more importantly ‘how’ they like to be reached should be discussed to maintain proper boundaries. In the debate, leaders will discuss how PR professionals ensure ethical interaction with journalists, what constitutes fair access to information and news opportunities, and how journalists maintain objectivity in an informational world.

  • How communication and marketing matters to a brand and who take precedence?

Clear, consistent, and persuasive communication is the key to success in the PR & Corp Comm industry. Nowadays, the market has become more saturated with the lines being blurred between marketing and communications. The role of Communications is still consistently followed but it has become hard to comprehend where marketing fits into the picture of brand success. This debate will discuss what causes more impact: marketing or communications in a brand’s success, the intricacies of how to develop effective communications strategies, and innovative marketing tactics.

The event promises to bring more lively and thought-provoking debates on the most pressing issues of the industry and can give rise to new and innovative ideas and solutions. We’ll announce the dates of on-ground events soon.
