Excerpts:
How does it feel to be recognised and honoured for your contribution to the industry?
The feeling is surreal. All the hard work and determination have paid off and I feel truly content with this recognition. Allison+Partners has given me numerous opportunities to learn and grow, as an individual and a team leader. I have learned so much from my mentors - Pranav Kumar, Neha Merchant, and Chandni Arora, and continue to do so. This award is also a result of the time and the effort that they have put in, to train and support me.
What are the key trends that you have noticed in the past year in the PR and Corp Comm domain?
The PR and corporate communications industry is extremely dynamic and fast-paced. The pandemic led us to think more creatively than we did before, underscoring the role those strategic communications can play at a time of disruption. With the proliferation of digital channels and continuing evolution of traditional media, our role goes beyond driving organic outcomes but rather a combination of earned and paid media, helping brands create an impact. We need to think on our feet and be agile.
What is that one industry lesson/ experience that you will carry with you throughout your career?
Always look at the bigger picture and give a 360-degree view while providing counsel to your client and be kind to and patient with your team because they look up to you for everything.
Where do you see yourself in the next five years?
I look forward to learning more and striving to be a thorough and experienced communications professional. I hope to get new and exciting opportunities to work with exciting brands and perhaps eventually, moving the client side to run communications for a global technology organisation since technology is my passion.
