On Pongal on January 15, a few select readers of Dinamalar, who were also customers of Joyalukkas, were in for a joyful surprise.
It was conceptualised by the agency Havas and we took the call to go the extra mile to make this happen.
A list of 500 selected customer list were given by Joy who happened both as our readers and few who are not as well. But we were well committed to bring a smile to Joyalukkas customers. Planning commenced and a complete flow of action was charted from the first week of January. Trial runs started, address checks by way of personal call and door visits were undertaken. Feedback was given to the agency and corrections done.
As quality of output is the best, it was proven again in this exercise. Business Director, L. Adimoolam, had done the output in Glazed Newsprint and special printing process. We could get some encouraging words from our readers too on the quality that we constantly bring out every day. This is really a Joy for us too.
Mr. R. Srinivasan, Jt. Director Circulation, mooted the idea. What is Pongal festival, without freshly made sweet Pongal? This Dinamalar, took an extra step and was freshly made and packed at 3 am in the morning of 15th January, by none other than Sri Krishna Sweets, pioneers in the sweet and savoury business. The circulation delivery team assembled at 330 am in the morning. The best delivery person were chosen and trained rather advised to impress Joyalukkas customers wearing Dinamalar T shirts and delivered the sweet Pongal and their personalized copy of Dinamalar with a smile and a wish.
It was indeed a Joyful day of Pongal to the reader, customer of both Dinamalar and Joyalukkas.
