Sony Entertainment Television (SET) is all set to launch the tenth season of its iconic show Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC). The show will go on- air from 3 September at 9pm from Monday- Friday.

The network has roped in as many as eight sponsors for the show and has so far sold 65 percent inventory.

Rohit Gupta, President, Network Sales, and International Business, Sony Pictures Networks, is confident about closing 12 sponsors for KBC season 10. He said, “We should close 12 sponsors. We are in talks with 4-5 other brands and we might close the deal in the next couple of days. Last year we were 100 per cent sold out before the launch of the show, and we expect the same this year. The KBC brand is very big and it is a show which brands wait for.”

Vivo V11 Pro and Mahindra Marazzo  are co-powered sponsors while Aakash Institute, Axis Bank, Asian Paints, CEAT, Raymond and Syska Wires & Cables are the associate sponsors of the show. Sony Entertainment Television has hiked the ad rates, charging Rs. 4 lakh for a 10 seconds slot during the show. Last year, SET pegged ad rates between Rs 3-3.5 lakhs for 10 secs.

NP Singh, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Sony Pictures Networks India, said, “Kaun Banega Crorepati in its 10th season, will showcase some game-changing innovations that are certain to heighten the viewing experience of the show. Mr. Amitabh Bachchan, as the host, will captivate us once again with his charismatic personality and eloquence. With an increasing demand for content, we are venturing into becoming a content production company with Studio Nxt. This newly formed venture begins its journey with co-producing the 10th season of KBC in partnership with Big Synergy. In the future, Studio Nxt will be an independent arm which will produce new IPs whilst leveraging the existing ones, thereby becoming a global content creator that cuts across boundaries and cultures.”

Co-produced by Big Synergy and Studio Nxt - a division of SPNI, the tenth season with the campaign #KabTakRokoge, KBC celebrates the spirit of resilience in people. The campaign evokes the emotions of every KBC aspirant. Viewers can look forward to a special ‘Curtain Raiser’ episode which will be telecast on Sony Entertainment Television on September 2 at 9pm.
