Mobile advertising start-up Batooni has been helping advertisers to reach a niche audience in tier II cities and towns, media reports have said. 

The hyperlocal mobile advertising platform allows smaller brands to target the right users who are determined basis their demographics and location.

As per reports, the company said on Wednesday it offers local businesses get a viable media for advertising and enables advertisers reach a niche audience within their catchment. This could be even a few kilometres. 

Janak Bhanushali, CEO, Hifi Digi Advertising Pvt. Ltd (Saregama) was quoted as saying: “We are pleased to have collaborated with Batooni, which is a new and innovative medium for us to advertise to consumers. Batooni has given us an opportunity to reach out to the youth who are our target audience and influence them in a big way. We found the platform to be extremely convenient and believe it has tremendous potential to grow in other markets in the Hindi speaking belt."

Brands advertising with the Batooni platform are namely - Dainik Bhaskar, Kanpur Technical University and Saregama. 

“We found Batooni to be a unique proposition in reaching out to our potential Dainik Bhaskar App users. We ran a video advertising campaign for a short duration and are quite impressed with the outcome,” Ajay Singh, Senior Manager, Brand Marketing, Dainik Bhaskar Group, was quoted as saying in media reports. 

Batooni allows advertisers configure campaigns on the basis of parameters like demographic distribution, frequency of impressions, and days of the week when the ads are displayed.

Meanwhile, Jitendra Chaturvedi, Director and Co-founder, Batooni, has been reported saying: “Smartphones have today become the holy grail for advertising. In our hyper-connected world, we are bringing the right to advertise to small brands to advertise their products and solutions. We believe this is a unique opportunity for companies to build awareness among their target audience through hyperlocal advertising."
