Birthday boy Shah Rukh Khan is the Badshah of endorsements too
Over the years, Khan has worked with many iconic brands including Pepsi, Frooti, BYJU'S, Big Basket and Hyundai
King Khan turns 54 today! Having spent decades in the entertainment industry, Shah Rukh Khan still makes it to the top among actors with the highest brand value. The actor is not only known for his wonderful performances but for his high brand value too. Over the years, the film star has worked with many iconic brands ranging from brands such as Frooti to BYJU'S, Big Basket and Hyundai.
Khan has perfectly managed to remain relevant in the endorsement world too. The superstar reportedly charges 5 to 6 crores per day and is still a favourite among brands.
According to experts, while a lot of brands are now seeking out newer faces, Khan, with his strong and charismatic personality, remains one of the most recalled personalities in the endorsement world.
According to Mumbai-based Indian Institute of Human Brands (IIHB) survey, learning app BYJU'S with brand ambassador Shah Rukh Khan got the highest spontaneous recall among celebrity endorsements during the ICC World Cup Cricket 2019.
Dr Sandeep Goyal, Chief Mentor of IIHB, said, “The survey shows clearly that recall and recognition are driven not just by media weights but also the longevity of association of a celebrity with the given brand. BYJU’S exposure in the World Cup is less than that of certain other brands with equally famous faces, but the consistent presence of Shah Rukh with the brand has helped it create better consumer equity.”
In 2008, TAM Media research came out with a report stating that King Khan endorsed the highest number of brands in 2008 on television. In that specific year, he was endorsing an array of 39 brands, which is known to be the highest number of brands any actor has endorsed.
