On popular demand, Amul brought back a few of its old, popular ads from the 90s during the Ramayan & Mahabharat retelecast on Doordarshan. The move invoked a wave of nostalgia among Indian viewers who are currently observing a 21-day lockdown in the light of the coronavirus pandemic.
The dairy brand had earlier tweeted that it’s going into ‘retro mode’ by bringing back some of its classic ads from the bygone era. These include ads for Amul Ice Creams, Amulya Premium Dairy Whitener and Amul Butter among others.
