EMVIES 2006: Stage set for Round 2, 56 entries make it to case study presentation round

Following the completion of the first round of judging for EMVIES 2006, 56 entries have been shortlisted for the case study presentation round, scheduled to take place on June 15, 2006. Lodestar Media, Madison, Maxus, Mediaedge:CIA, MPG, MediaCom India, MindShare, Optimum Media Solutions, Starcom, O&M, Ad Vista Bombay, OvilgvyOne Worldwide, Zee Telefilm and Red FM have made it to the list.

EMVIES 2006 receives a record 369 entries

EMVIES 2006 has much to cheer about. The only platform that recognises excellence in effective media usage has clocked in 369 entries this year. The previous highest number of entries that the Mumbai Ad Club had recorded was 322. Ad Club officials emphasise that this further vindicates the widespread acceptance of the awards in the media and advertising fraternity.

Emvies 2005: Case study presentations culminate

Another successful round of case study presentations has completed for Emvies and the judges said that this year has seen some of the most interesting presentation style vis-à-vis previous years. Thirty seven shortlisted entries were presented for Emvies event in two rounds. The entries were for awards to recognise efforts across categories like use of new media, innovation in radio, etc.

GroupM corners maximum shortlisted entries for EMVIES, followed by Lodestar

The EMVIES committee has announced the shortlisted entries that will be a part of the final judging round. A sneak peek shows that the highest number of shortlisted entries is from GroupM, divided between Mindshare with 11 and Maxus with three. Lodestar has cornered the second highest number of shortlisted entries at eight. In total 11 media entities would be competing with each other at the case study presentation round on June 15.

“We thought that this could be the right time to re-live some of the sizzling moments at the Emvies last year. To cut to the chase, around 60 odd delegates had turned up at the Taj Land’s End for the grand finale, and entertainment was big in the list of priorities. Said Abbas Muni from Carat, “The Emvies last year was a blast because there were some interesting entries that came by, and some high voltage entertainment.”

Emvies 2005 is all set to make more sizzle than ever before. Said Apurva Purohit, Chairperson, Emvies, "As with all Ad Club awards, Emvies looks at a particular aspect of the communication industry, in this case media, and rewards the best talent in that sphere. Shashi Sinha, President, Lodestar, believes that the previous year was a fantastic one for the agency, and this time around, the prospects look extremely bright. He said, "They have just released the entry forms, and we are just debating on what we must present for the occasion."
